Pip Severin

Musculoskeletal Therapist

Pip is passionate about health and about helping people. She takes a holistic view of your musculoskeletal issues and will thoroughly assess each individual. A treatment plan will be developed, aimed at both the immediate symptoms but more importantly any underlying mechanisms contributing to those symptoms.

With a number of years in the fitness industry both as an instructor and as an athlete, Pip developed a passion for the human body which led her to complete her Health Science degree at Endeavour College in 2016.

Pip enjoys the challenge that working with the body brings and understands that there is never a ‘one size fits all’ option for treatment.

“Each treatment is tailored to the individual in front of me and always takes into account the complexities of pain and inflammation.”

Pip uses a variety of skills, including techniques proven to be effective in the treatment of chronic pain and inflammation.

Experience with elite athletes including Brisbane Broncos NRL team, Brisbane Bullets Basketball team and Qld State of Origin team combined with various work as therapist and on field sports trainer at a number of local sporting events has led to a thorough understanding of injuries in a sporting context.

“I am excited to be able to offer my knowledge and skills to assist my clients in the their journey to functional health, whatever that may look like for them. I have an absolute passion for my work, which involves keeping myself up to date with the most current research in pain, rehabilitation and functional approaches to medicine and holistic health”.

Mark Brennan

Student Myotherapist

Mark is well on his way to completing the Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy) degree and to help him along we have taken him on as a student therapist.

“After years of playing rugby and working as a tradie, I had some persistent pain that had not successfully been treated. After 1 session with a myotherapist, I decided that I wanted to know about how to help people in the way they helped me”.

With a background as both a carpenter and a builder, Mark spent around 15 years working on both commercial and residential building sites, before taking the risk to completely overhaul his career and focus on a journey of health. His first hand experience as a tradie gives him a unique depth of understanding of the demands that physical work places on the body. Combined with his current study and guidance from Pip, we are confident that Mark will be a fantastic addition to the BodyWorx team!

“I am stoked to join Pip and be a part of BodyWorx Functional Therapies. Her passion and dedication to her patients is infectious I am excited to help her help more people!”
